Preparing SausagesThe Rough and Tumble Engineers' Historical Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up entirely of members who have an interest in antique industrial and agricultural machinery of many types.

During the course of the year, we need our member's help in successfully Planning and Staffing these Events. Members are urged not only to come and enjoy the planned events, but also to take an active interest and volunteer some time during the year to help share the workload among members. The Thresherman's Reunion is a major event where we could use people volunteering in many areas of the event.

Jim Wiest is the Volunteer Coordinator and can help get you involved and knows the ongoing projects.  Jim can be contacted at     856-434-3896. We need our Paintingmembers help during events with everything from parking control, food services, and admissions, to grounds administration, just to name a few areas for events.

There are many other Year-around Ongoing Tasks too numerous to list in this article. You will find someone working at Rough and Tumble practically every weekend of the year. Everyone you see "working" at Rough and Tumble's yearly events volunteers his or her time to make the year a success for all our membership. In volunteering, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the nicest people you could ever meet with interests similar to your own. From teenagers to octogenarians, we have members at Rough and Tumble who have good fun and camaraderie volunteering during the year.

The first Saturday of every Month is "Work Saturday" and members are welcome to join in the ongoing projects and preparation for all our yearly events. As an active member of the Association, we hope that you will participate in monthly work days and events. This allows members to get hands on experience in the hobbie of their choice, be it steam, gas, diesel, blacksmithing, trains, machine shop, etc. Additionally your monthly participation helps R & T maintain the buildings, grounds, and equipment for future generations.

For any organization to grow and be successful, we need your help and support during the year to ease the burden of the people who always seem to do it all. We would like to thank all of you who gave so much of your time during our past events! And for our members who can volunteer some time during this year, we welcome you and hope this year will be a memorable one for you also. We look forward to hearing from you about volunteering and seeing you at Rough and Tumble.
