Ernest W. Reynolds, 98, of Quarryville, entered into rest on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retire-ment Community. Born in Cochranville, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Pauline (Hogg) Reynolds. He was married to the late Marie T. Reynolds for 72 years.

Ernie was a farmer and had also worked for Farm Bureau. He retired from Leon C. Landis, Inc. Ernie was an active 80-year member of Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, where he was an ordained elder and served on the Pastor Nominating Committee. He also taught men's Bible class for several years. Ernie belonged to the Rough & Tumble Engineers Assoc. and the Solanco Sportsman's Assoc. He was a self-taught handyman and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Huntingdon County.

Surviving are two children: Joanne, wife of Robert Black of Quarryville; and E. Thompson, husband of Bonnie Reynolds of Trout Lake, WA; 4 grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Reynolds, and a sister, Elizabeth Taylor.

Funeral Services will take place at Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1199 Valley Road, Quarryville, PA 17566 on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. There will be a viewing at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
