Conductor Bill Castiglioni - The Shay RR's loyal "Conductor Bill" passed away on Saturday Sept 4, 2010. Bill has been a part of the Shay RR for many years and was a great asset to the running of the railroad.

WILLIAM L. "BILL" CASTIGLIONI 76 - of Vineland, passed away on Saturday morning at home where he had been under the care of family and hospice. Bill was born in Vineland where he was a lifelong city resident. He was the son of the late Ferna (Collard) and William Castiglioni. In his early years Bill worked at Venice Maid, Maul Brothers and Vineland Poultry Lab. He then started in Mobile Home Sales and later owned and operated Sunset Mobile Home Parts in Vineland for many years. Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran and the President of the Country Rhythm Dance Club for 6 yrs. He was also a member of the "HOG's" Harley Owner's Group, an avid Country Western dancer and popular D.J. Bill also proudly served as a conductor on the Shay Rail Road in Lancaster, PA. Bill loved being outdoors, camping and taking care of his pet's over the years, most recently Smokey and Willow his faithful companions.

He is survived by his son; Billy Castiglioni, Ocean City. Daughters; Carie Janetta, Vineland, Vicki McDonald, Vineland, 4 grandchildren; Stephen, Julie, Brandon and Rebecca, 3 step grandchildren; Heather, Christa and Ivy. His longtime friend and companion; Dianne Hladczuk, Marlton. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, NJ. His funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Saturday at Pancoast's with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
