Reminder - Waterloo Boys Spring Banquet and Auction - Payment must be made by March 1st for the March 14, 2009 banquet at the White Horse Fire Company, 111 White Horse Road, Gap, PA 17527. The fee for adults is $14 each, and for children 4-12 the fee is $7 each. NOTE - The drawing for the 2009 raffle tractor will be at our John Deere Show on July 25, 2009, NOT AT THE REUNION! All subsequent raffles will be drawn at our July show. 11/01/08 Waterloo Boys 2008 Raffle Winners -Valerie Smeltz of Mertztown, PA was the winner of the 1948 John Deere Model G. Valerie is shown here with her family and Harvey Bashore, who presented her with the raffle tractor after the drawing on October 11 at the Time of Harvest Show. Other winners were -2nd Prize $200 - Jack Etter, Middletown, Pa. 3rd Prize $100 - Dylan Boyer, New Bethlehem, Pa. 4th Prize $50 - Shane Kreamer, Beavertown, Pa. 5th Prize $25 - Ken Travers, Churchville, Md. 06/17/08 Dave Moore (from John Sitch) Long time Waterloo Boy and Rough and Tumble member Dave Moore passed away at home May 27, 2008 at age 78. A photo and Dave's obituary have been posted here. 11/12/07 Waterloo Boys Award JD 520 to Winner - Donna Bucker and her husband, from Mount Pleasant Mills, PA, accept her 1956 John Deere Model 520 awarded by the Waterloo Boys for first prize in the club's 2007 raffle. Other prize winners were:2nd Prize Pedal Tractor - Thomas Cook, Butler, PA 3rd Prize JD Jacket - Joseph Neuman, Jr., Lincoln Univ 4th Prize Model Tractor - Dave Quigley, Harrisburg, PA 5th Prize Belt Buckle - Jason Burr, Higganum, Ct. 06/27/07 New Waterloo Boys Club Building - The Waterloo Boys Two Cylinder Club of SE PA has completed construction of its new building, just east of the Rumely Building. This building will be open for the Waterloo Boys' show July 20 and 21 and will be dedicated Sunday July 22 during the club's summer picnic.02/05/07 John Deere Show Photos Posted - 99 photos of the July 2006 Waterloo Boys John Deere Show have been posted to our "Photo Albums" section. Click here to go directly to the album. 08/08/06 Dues Changes and New Application Form - As you probably know from our newsletter, Waterloo Boys dues have recently been increased slightly to $20 per year or $180 for a life-time membership. Our membership application form has been changed to reflect this. Note that the $20 fee includes your family, including children up to the age of 16. Toy John Deere tractor: Willis Brown Belt Buckle: Dick Wilbur, Downsville, N.Y. 2006 Raffle - Sale of tickets for the 2006 Raffle of the John Deere 420 is under way. The first tickets were sold at the Grease, Rust & Steam show in McConnellsburg, PA last week. 10/08/05One Hundred Photos of this year's Waterloo Boys John Deere show have been posted. Our site will keep you informed of the organization and activities of the Waterloo Boys. You may bookmark this site as - WANTED - Items for the Spring Auction - Items are needed for the annual Spring Banquet and Auction, to be held Saturday March 12 at the White Horse Fire Company. The donated items do not need to be John Deere tractor parts or related items, though they would be greatly appreciated. Books, Easter baskets, toys, flowers, etc. are also welcome. July 23rd Tractor Pull Registration - If you wish to enter one or more tractors in the July 23rd Pull, print the registration form (available here) and complete it and mail to Irvin Martin (shown here) at the address printed at the bottom of the form. 2005 Raffle Tractor A brochure describing the 2005 Raffle Tractor, a John Deere Model 430T (shown here), is available here. Tickets for the raffle are availble at all Waterloo Boy meetings, R&T events, and other WB events. The drawing will take place at the R&T Time of Harvest event in October. Waterloo Boy Cook Book - The Waterloo Boy Cook Book has been published and is now ready for sale, thanks to the contributions of over 40 members. The Waterloo Boy Cook Book is something the club is proud to offer, and is already selling like "hot cakes". The cost is $8.00 per copy.
