01/27/11 Reminder - Waterloo Boys Spring Banquet and Auction - Payment must be made by February 22 for the March 5, 2011 banquet at the Bareville Fire Company, 211 E. Main St., Leola, PA 17540. The fee for adults is $16 each, and for children 6-12 the fee is $8 each. Please send your name, address and phone number along with your check made out to "Waterloo Boys Spring Banquet" to Waterloo Boys c/o Ralph Curtis 152 Hipkins Rd. West Grove, PA 19390 Have questions? Call Ralph at 610-345-0374. Spring Auction Items Wanted - Items are needed for the annual Spring Banquet Auction on March 5th (see above entry). The donated items do not need to be John Deere tractor parts or related items, however they would be greatly appreciated. Books, Easter baskets, toys, flowers, etc. are also welcome. Help keep our auctioneer busy. If you want to donate something but are not attending the banquet, arrangements can be made to pick up any item. Waterloo Boys 2008 Raffle Winners -Valerie Smeltz of Mertztown, PA was the winner of the 1948 John Deere Model G. Valerie is shown here with her family and Harvey Bashore, who presented her with the raffle tractor after the drawing on October 11 at the Time of Harvest Show. Other winners were -2nd Prize $200 - Jack Etter, Middletown, Pa. 3rd Prize $100 - Dylan Boyer, New Bethlehem, Pa. 4th Prize $50 - Shane Kreamer, Beavertown, Pa. 5th Prize $25 - Ken Travers, Churchville, Md. 06/17/08 Dave Moore (from John Sitch) Long time Waterloo Boy and Rough and Tumble member Dave Moore passed away at home May 27, 2008 at age 78. A photo and Dave's obituary have been posted here. 11/12/07 Waterloo Boys Award JD 520 to Winner - Donna Bucker and her husband, from Mount Pleasant Mills, PA, accept her 1956 John Deere Model 520 awarded by the Waterloo Boys for first prize in the club's 2007 raffle. Tickets for the raffle are availble at all Waterloo Boy meetings, R&T events, and other WB events. The drawing will take place at the R&T Time of Harvest event in October. Waterloo Boy Cook Book - The Waterloo Boy Cook Book has been published and is now ready for sale, thanks to the contributions of over 40 members. The Waterloo Boy Cook Book is something the club is proud to offer, and is already selling like "hot cakes". The cost is $8.00 per copy.
