The Waterloo Boys of South Eastern Pennsylvania, many of whose members are also members of Rough and Tumble and who host the annual John Deere Show at Rough and Tumble were represented at the 86th Annual Pennsylvania State Farm Show in Harrisburg, PA on January 5 - 10, 2002 by member Dave Nolt, who creates models of tractors, and by Lavern Rutt, who owns many John Deere tractors that are seen in our photo albums on this site. Dave Nolt's model of a John Deere Model 620 was modeled after Lavern Rutt's beautifully restored 620. During the show, Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker and his family toured the show and photos were taken of the Governor's family with Lavern's 620. Two of the photos are included here. The Waterloo Boys received a citation from the Governor for being a charter club in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and contributing to the preservation of our rich farm heritage. Our thanks to John D. Sitch, Newsletter Editor for The Waterloo Boys of South Eastern Pennsylvania for providing the photos and info for this album. Remember our Tips on viewing Photo Albums
Tips on viewing Photo Albums Since our album for Day 3 of Steam School 2001, we have been using a "load ahead" feature in our photo albums. If you use the "Next Photo" link at the top right corner of each photo, then it will pay you to continue looking at the current photo until the activity display at the bottom of your browser indicates the browser is done loading images. Then, when you click "Next Photo", it will appear almost immediately, and the browser will start loading the next sequential image. To put it simply, wait for the browser to complete loading images before clicking the "Next Photo" button. |
