Photo Album - 2005 Spring Steam-up
May 13-14, 2005
Spring Steam-Up is a special event each year at Rough and Tumble. It's time to get the steam engines out of hibernation and fire them up. Better yet, it is plowing season, and this year we had beautiful weather and excellent soil conditions. Both steam and gas powered tractors were seen plowing in the fields adjacent to the R&T grounds on Friday and Saturday.
The only drawback to this year's event was the failure of the large tractor pull sled after only a few classes of the tractor pull were completed.

Garden Tractor Pull - The garden tractor pull is growing in popularity and number of competitors with each event. This year the sled was provided by Don Miller from Delta PA.
Pedal Tractor Pull - The children's pedal tractor pull is consistently popular and was well attended at this year's Steam-Up.
Tractor Games - This year's tractor games featured the barrel roll and the slow race, the latter including a Gary Ravert's 1967 IH combine.
Abbreviated Tractor Pull - This year's tractor pull was stopped early due to a breakage in the pull sled that could not be quickly repaired. Participants were refunded their pulling fee and hopefully will return for some of the many pulls on the rest of this year's schedule.
