Photo Album - 2004 Time of Harvest
Rough and Tumble's 2004 Time of Harvest was held October 8 and 9, 2004. We are grateful for the fine photos contributed by Bill Glenn, many of which are part of this photo album.

General Scenes - Here are photos of a wide variety of scenes and activities that were observed at this year's Time of Harvest.
Steam Traction Engines - Time of Harvest is a last chance for the steam engine crowd to fire their boilers and have some fun before draining them and putting them away for the winter months. It's also a great opportunity for visitors to get up close and personal with these engines, not to mention get photos and rides on these machines.
Harvesting Demonstration - Time of Harvest is your chance to see corn harvested using a variety of early technologies.
Garden Tractor Pull - 2004 is the first year that "serious" garden tractor pulls have been held. This year, Charles Culley and friends from Manchester, PA brought a beautiful sled and several Wheel Horse tractors to the Time of Harvest. They not only provided the sled, but managed the event as well. Some of the tractors entered in this pull were modified to be particularly good pullers.
Pedal Tractor Pull - The Pedal Tractor Pull brought the usual large number of entrants and an enthusiastic crowd.
Parade of Power - The Parade of Power is always a highlight, as visitors can sit in comfort and watch a wide variety of engines parade before them.
Steam Tractor Pull - Always a hit, the Steam Tractor Pull is an opportunity to see these giant iron horses work, instead of simply "idling" around the grounds. For the Time of Harvest, there were several pulls by a tandom of two engines.
Blacksmith Shop - The recently upgraded Blacksmith Shop always had visitors watching a blacksmith do his magic from close range.
Making Apple Cider - This year Jack Hussey from Ronks, PA set up an apple cider press which was belt powered from 88 year old Aaron Stauffer's 1/4 scale Case steam engine.
Waterloo Boys Raffle - The drawing of the winner of the Waterloo Boys annual tractor raffle attracts a big crowd every fall, but this year the interest was especially great, probably due to the beautifully restored John Deere Model 520 that went to the winner.
Tips on viewing Photo Albums
Since our album for Day 3 of Steam School 2000, we have been using a "load ahead" feature in our photo albums.
If you use the "Next Photo" link at the top right corner of each photo, then it will pay you to continue looking at the current photo until the activity display at the bottom of your browser indicates the browser is done loading images. Then, when you click "Next Photo", it will appear almost immediately, and the browser will start loading the next sequential image. To put it simply, wait for the browser to complete loading images before clicking the "Next Photo" button.
