Unloading - We have a few photos from Wednesday morning as some of the late arrivals unloaded for the four day event.
Steam Traction Engines - Always fascinating and the keystone of Rough and Tumble's Exhibits, the steam traction engines always draw a crowd, especially those who have not seen one up close and personal before.
Featured Tractor - Allis Chalmers - The 2002 Threshermen's Reunion's "Featured Tractor" was the Allis Chalmers, and we had one of the earliest and one of the latest ACs on exhibit, as well as several AC combines. There are many more AC photos in the Parade of Power section.
Other Tractors - R&T seems to have more variety of gas tractors with each reunion than in previous years. 2002 was no exception as you'll see from these photos.
Steam and Gas Rollers - We have a few photos (see the Parade photos, too) of rollers at this year's reunion.
Steam Games - The Steam Games are a crowd favorite at Rough and Tumble. An early evening event, this year the games included the slow race, barrel moving and the forward and back slalom around a series of barrels.
Railroads - Rough and Tumble's Little Toot finally reappeared at this year's Reunion, following a year being rebuilt. In addition, the Shay did its usual incredible business of treating thousands of visitors to a ride around the grounds.
Tips on viewing Photo Albums
Since our album for Day 3 of Steam School 2002, we have been using a "load ahead" feature in our photo albums.
If you use the "Next Photo" link at the top right corner of each photo, then it will pay you to continue looking at the current photo until the activity display at the bottom of your browser indicates the browser is done loading images. Then, when you click "Next Photo", it will appear almost immediately, and the browser will start loading the next sequential image. To put it simply, wait for the browser to complete loading images before clicking the "Next Photo" button.
