Small gas engines - These engines come in a wide variety of brands, styles and uses. Two and four wheel garden/lawn tractors and hit and miss engines make up the majority of these engines.
Railroads - The Shay and Little Toot railroads are big favorites with visitors to Rough and Tumble. The Shay alone typically has about 8,000 riders during the four day reunion. The Little Toot is an even bigger hit with the kids.
Automobiles - A big secret of R&T is the fine collection of antique automobiles. Some are part of the organization's permanent collection, and many more come to be exhibited at the reunion.
Model Engines - A fascinating feature of the reunion is the large exhibit of working models of engines of various sizes. The Model Building is full of beautifully displayed steam and gas engine models, and during the reunion, there are several model areas on the grounds.
General Scenes - It's hard to take photos of any Rough and Tumble event and not come up with photos of general interest that may not fit in any particular category.
Personal Transportation - As one might expect, a wide variety of personal transportion devices are found at Rough and Tumble.
Tips on viewing Photo Albums
Since our album for Day 3 of Steam School 2000, we have been using a "load ahead" feature in our photo albums.
If you use the "Next Photo" link at the top right corner of each photo, then it will pay you to continue looking at the current photo until the activity display at the bottom of your browser indicates the browser is done loading images. Then, when you click "Next Photo", it will appear almost immediately, and the browser will start loading the next sequential image. To put it simply, wait for the browser to complete loading images before clicking the "Next Photo" button.
