PA sponsors a John Deere Day at Rough and Tumble once a year, late in July. The John Deere Day Parade was a remarkable display of grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren driving and riding on these great tractors. Here are examples, and note the many children... The parade gets under way Lots of power Two young men on a "520" and a "620" Father and daughter on a "BN" A father and son (I assume) on a "B" and "H" respectively The young man really enjoys driving his "H" Cruising on the old "D" The parade included all sizes of tractors A "730 Diesel" rumbles down the track Two women flying on an "MT" This one's available A patriotic "G" A great looking "60" Grandpa on the "A" with cultivators and grandson (he'll be back!) Ron Kreider on his 1946 Linderman Crawler. The highlight of the day for many participants and visitors alike is the Tractor Pull. It's a rare chance for many to see and hear these "Johnny Poppers" under a load.... A "420" tug'n on the sled A patriotic "B" pulling the load and twisting the tires An "A" doing its best Tractor pulls always draw a big crowd, generally preferring the shady side of the track Ron Kreider on his 1941 modified G, doing an exhibition pull. This "D" is raring to go Trying to pull every possible inch on the "720" A "70" hunkers down on the sled Nursing as much traction as possible About to "see red" That sled really gets heavy at this point Pull'n Wheels An 830 Diesel with Wheels Up!
