2005 Tractor Pull Regulations
 
NOTE: These Regulations apply to ALL tractor pulls conducted at Rough and Tumble throughout the year. The Registration Form only applies to the Reunion Pull.
  1. All drivers MUST BE MEMBERS of Rough & Tumble.
  2. A driver meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to each pull to review the rules and any current issues ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND!
  3. The flagman will direct the pull. He will start each pull and flag the driver when the tractors forward motion stops or when an unsafe condition exists.
  4. Tractor models in production prior to 1960. All tractors must be in stock condition and engine RPM not to exceed factory standard plus 10%.
  5. All drivers must be 16 years old or older. Any operator demonstrating questionable driving skills will be challenged and track officials may refuse to hook.
  6. The operator must remain seated during the pull and must have complete control of the tractor at all times.
  7. Tractor drawbars MUST MEET OR EXCEED FACTORY SAFETY SPECIFICATIONS and pulling committee approval. Tractors MUST HAVE A TWISTED CLEVIS OR SIMILAR HORIZONAL PULLING RING INSTALLED BEFORE LINING UP TO PULL. Max. Drawbar heights will be 18" up to and including the 9000 LB classes. 22" for the 10500 and the 12000 LB classes.
  8. Tractors will be limited to one pull per tractor at the Thresherman's Reunion Pull. Multiple hooks will be allowed at other R & T pulls.
  9. Fronts weights are to be factory specs. All weights are to be secured and in their proper position. NO SUITCASE WEIGHTS ALLOWED AT REUNION PULL ONLY! Suitcase weights will be allowed at other R & T pulls. NOTE: NO BOLTS past the tires or last weight more than 2" max. Width.
  10. If any parts or weights fall during the pull, the entry will be disqualified.
  11. All fast hitch drawbar must be secured against accidental release.
  12. Tractors must be operated in a safe manner at all times. Maximum speed is 5MPH in staging area as well as the pull itself. No tractor is to be left unattended with the engine running.
  13. All operators MUST wear shirts, shoes, and pants!!!
  14. All owners/operators will pull at their own risk.
  15. Tractors with rubber tires may not be more than one size over factory standards. NO CUT TIRES!. No 4 wheel drives, no duals, no tire studs, and no chains.
  16. No hole digging or jerking of the sled.
  17. Any person who blocks the track with a tractor or other means for the purpose of delay or interferes with the event will be barred from participation for the term of one year and ten days. NO one other than track officials and drivers will be permitted on the track.
  18. All tractors must be pre-registered to pull at the Reunion pull. SORRY, BUT THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. Registration forms will be published in the whistle and on the INTERNET.
  19. Tractors participating in the Reunion pull must be on the grounds by noon Wednesday to allow for inspection and to be on display for the show.
  20. Tractors will pull by weight classes as follows: 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, 10500, 12000. Classification by weight is dependant on availability of scales on site.
The pulling committee reserves the right to reject any tractor or driver not complying with the published rules. THE PULLING COMMITTEE'S DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
We want our pulls to be a safe and fun time for the spectators, pull operators, and the drivers. Experience indicates the necessity of establishing and publishing rules for everyone to follow to ensure that we do have a fun a safe time.
